Engagement sessions are our favorite.  We love how clients get creative, romantic and just have fun in front of the camera.  And for those who don’t like the camera, we guarantee you will feel relaxed and get the most out of your session.  We are a husband and wife team and know how to help a couple be comfortable in front of the camera.

Some feel this type of shoot is not import and then others can’t wait for it to finally happen.  Out a photographers point of view we think this is a perfect shoot for the couple getting married, or even arranging a couple shoot and then proposing – wow!  Here are a few reasons why we think you should not miss one:

  • Great chance to get to know your photographer – many of us, especially the men, can quickly feel uncomfortable in from of the camera, and for it to happen on the wedding day is not such a good thing.  Most of the time it’s because they don’t know the person behind the camera so well.  This way both of you can get to know the photographer and also the photographer can get to know you better and also take note of the likes and dislikes or how many photos of the groom can be taken before it’s too much, and the list goes on.
  • Use it as a test run for makeup and hair – this can be a good opportunity to arrange for your hair and/or makeup trial on the day of the engagement shoot.  Not only will you look amazing for your engagement shoot, but it will also give you a good indication of how it will look in the photos.
  • Engagement photos can be used for a lot of different things like save the dates, invitations, guest book, wedding website, prints for the home or even wedding décor or gifts
  • Doing an engagement session will also help you be more relaxed in front of the camera on the wedding day and will also give you an indication what the photographer will expect from you or pose you on the day.  Everyone can work better together and feel comfortable.  After all – the photographer is going to be there the whole day with you – from A-Z – on your wedding day.
